FATFISH E-BIKES

Fatfish ebikes are built for cruising: fat tyres, a comfortable upright ride and a 960Wh battery that goes the distance.

As an authorised Fatfish dealer in Marrickville, we stock the OG 2.0, the Biggie and the new Grime, and every one is NSW road legal.

Each bike is assembled and safety checked by our mechanics and comes with a free first service at three months. Come in and ride one before you buy.

Road Legal in NSW

Every Fatfish we sell is a pedal-assist e-bike with a 250W motor that stops helping at 25 km/h. They are built to the EN15194 standard and certified by NSW Fair Trading, so you can ride them on roads, bike paths and shared paths. NSW passed laws in 2026 that let police seize and destroy e-bikes that break the power rules. Read our guide to e-bike laws in NSW and Australia for the details.

Fatfish FAQs

Are Fatfish e-bikes road legal in NSW?

Yes. The Fatfish bikes we sell have a 250W motor that cuts out at 25 km/h, are built to EN15194 and are certified by NSW Fair Trading. A Fatfish that has been unlocked or modified may no longer be road legal and can be seized.

What is the top speed of a Fatfish?

The motor helps you up to 25 km/h, the legal limit for e-bikes in Australia. You can pedal faster than that, but the motor won’t assist.

Should I buy the OG 2.0 or the Biggie?

It mainly comes down to height. The OG 2.0 suits riders under 175 cm and the Biggie suits riders over 175 cm. They share the same motor, battery and range, so pick the one that feels right on a test ride.

How far does a Fatfish go on one charge?

Fatfish claims up to 100km from the 960Wh battery. Hills, a heavier load and higher assist levels all reduce that, so expect less on a hilly ride at full assist.

Can I test ride a Fatfish in Sydney?

Yes. Visit our Marrickville showroom Monday to Friday 9am–5pm or Saturday 10am–3pm. Book a test ride online or drop in.

Who services Fatfish e-bikes in Sydney?
