Marrickville, Sydney

Electric bike servicing & repair

A workshop built specifically for e‑bikes and e‑cargo bikes. We've been servicing electric bikes in Marrickville since 2009. We are authorised for Bosch, Shimano, Bafang and Ezee systems, and staffed by mechanics who work on these bikes every day.

Can we work on your bike?

Two taps and you’ll know before you book.

1. Where did the bike come from?

2. What kind of bike is it?

What you get

What’s in a general service

A general service is a full going-over of the bike, mechanical and electrical. Here’s exactly what that covers.

  • Inspection & assessment of the overall condition of the bike
  • Electrical check — battery, motor, display, pedal assist and lights, with replacement of any faulty components
  • Drivetrain adjusted, cleaned and lubricated
  • Brakes adjusted. Hydraulic discs are cleaned, lubricated, adjusted, topped up and bled if required
  • Wheels dished and trued
  • Worn parts replaced — tyres, brake pads, rotors, chain and cassette
  • Bolt check and test ride before we hand it back

Charged separately

  • Parts. The service price is labour only. Any parts that need replacing will be included on your quote.
  • Any complex repairs that are beyond the scope of a general service.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my bike be in the workshop?

We aim to have services completed in 1–2 days from your drop-off. We can’t guarantee same-day completion and we can’t service a bike while you wait. Complex repairs, or parts we need to order in can extend the completion time. We’ll tell you when we send the quote.

Do you pick up and drop off?

No, but we can give you the details of couriers who carry bikes. If you’re riding in, Stanmore station is a short ride from the workshop and has lift access.

Can you diagnose my problem over email?

Sometimes. Send us photos or a short video of what’s happening and we’ll help where we can, but a lot of e‑bike faults can’t be identified without the bike in front of us, so we can’t promise a diagnosis.

What if I can’t make my booking?

Please arrive by 10am on the day of your booking. If you're running late, please contact us via phone, email or SMS. Depending on the workload for that day, we may not be able to receive your bike late.

You can drop your bike off in the days prior to your booking.

If we haven't received your bike by 10am, and we haven't heard from you, your booking will be cancelled and you will need to rebook for the next available date that works for you.

We do not charge cancellation fees or late fees.

Do you do e‑bike conversions?

No. We no longer do conversions, and we don’t service conversions unless we built them ourselves.

How often does an e‑bike need servicing?

At least once a year for a regularly ridden bike, more often if you ride a lot. E‑bikes wear drivetrains and brakes faster than non-electric bikes because of the extra speed and weight.

Can I get a loan bike?

Loan bikes are for Glow Worm VIPs and they’re subject to availability. Request one when you book your service.

Something’s wrong and I don’t have a booking. What now?

If you bought your bike from us, we can receive it as a walk-in for a single-issue repair. You'll need to leave the bike with us to be assessed at the first available opportunity after completion of booked services. Walk-ins are not an on-the-spot repair.

If the repair is outside the scope of a walk-in (ie if it is a complex/lengthy repair or full service), we'll schedule you on the next available booking date. We cannot receive full service bookings as walk-ins.

In order to accommodate customers who've purchased their electric bike from us, we don't have the capacity to receive bikes purchased elsewhere as walk-ins. Contact us for the next available booking.
